For the question &#8220;<em>Have you a father, mother, wife, child under 12, or a sister or brother under 12, solely dependent\u00a0on your for support (specify which<\/em>)&#8221; he lists &#8220;Parents.&#8221; So, he must have been helping them keep their farm.
