• Common Polish First Names - There was some discussion of naming patterns for Polish children. Children tended to be named after the saint whose feast day was closest to the day they were born. Here's a website that covers that issue.

Maps/Geoegraphy

• Kartenmeister - contains 91,024 locations with over 38,691 name changes once, and 5,500 twice and more. Included in this database are the following provinces: Eastprussia, including Memel, Westprussia, Brandenburg, Posen, Pomerania, and Silesia. It currently list most towns or points, points being: Mills, some bridges, battlefields, named trees, cenotaphs etc.

• The Prussian Army Project - The "Deutsche Verlustlisten" is a searchable database of the Prussian Army personnel losses.
• FamilySearch - Online Germany, Pomerania Church Records, 1544-1945 - Evangelical Lutheran and Roman Catholic church records and transcripts for a portion of historic Pomerania now split between Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany and Szczecin, Poland. Includes births, marriages, and death records.
