Notes	CT Nutmegger Volume 28, page 568 The Public Record Office in London contains a copy of a "license to go beyond the seas," dated April 15, 1635. Among those "to be transported to New England imbarqued in the "Increase"" is James Rogers, 20 years. In 1637 James Rogers was one of six men from Saybrook who took part in the Pequot War. A few years later James was in Stratford, CT where he married Elizabeth, daughter of Samuel Rowland. For a time James Rogers was in Milford, where his son Joseph was born, and thereafter he became prominent in New London.
