Passenger List

November 1889

Frank Zalewski and his family arrived on November 23, 1889 according to their ship manifest. They traveled on the S.S. Weser from Bremen, Germany to Baltimore, Maryland. The family’s trip from Baltimore to Milwaukee is not known, but there has been mentions of stops in Ohio, Chicago, and even Nebraska. I have yet to find solid evidence of any of these items.

Frank is listed on line 259 at the left and the rest of his family is listed until line 263. With Frank on the trip were his wife, Anna, and three of their daughters, Martha, Amela, and Elsa. Elsa is never listed again with this family. I’m assuming she passed away not long after their arrival in America, but Martha and Amela (Amelia/Angeline) were in the previous photo.

The blog entry I posted when I found this information.
