In a letter to my grandfather, Richard Zalewski, from his mother on April 19, 1941, she mentions Frank. Richard was training for the US Navy at the time in Florida. In the letter she says, “I got to go over by Grandpa (Daddy’s.) I go there every Monday, Friday, and Saturday.” Frank was about 83 years old at this time, so he probably needed some help around the house.
