1897 Milwaukee City Directory

1897

Frank Zalewski, tanner, 902 Pulaski.

Frank is now listed as a “tanner” instead of “laborer.” He was probably always a tanner since he was listed as one in his first city directory listing. They probably just generalized his occupation in previous directories. Milwaukee’s east side, where Pulaski is located, was known for it’s tanneries and breweries.

Notice that Jacob is listed as “Jacob Zaleski” and is also now a tanner instead of a fireman.
