Yes, I haven’t posted in a bit. I’ve been busy with other things so I have not had time to do much genealogy research, though I am still interested in everything. I am still looking for Zalewski’s for my Zalewski Surname DNA Study. I’ll collect some stuff together to post. Stay tuned for that.

    I saw your question regarding Julius and Felix Bannach on another site. Julius was my gg grandfather. My grandfather, Charles Bannach was adopted by Julius. Marie Shannon was his mother. I was just beginning to research my dad’s side of the family after he died last March. Unfortunately both of my dad’s parents died within 6 months of my father and I never was able to ask my grandfather about his adopted father. If you have found any info on them, I’d appreciate it if you would share it with me.

    I had no idea there were so many Zalewski’s…! I was looking up the last name to find a familt crest or coat of arms for a new tattoo and came upon this site. I’m living in California now, but was born near Cleveland, Ohio. I still have most of my family back there, though I’m pretty sure my father ahd some relatives living in the Fort Lauderdale area of Florida at one time, as well. If anyone has any info on getting a familt coat of arms, I would appreciate it. When I looked Zalewski up on some of the sites for surnames, it was using a Ukrainian origin.
